WHAT IS O.C. TEST
Opportunity classes, or O.C., cater for high achieving Year 5 and Year 6 students who are academically gifted. The classes give the students an environment they may otherwise be without, this includes classmates at their own academic and social level. These classes help gifted and talented students to learn by grouping them with other gifted and talented students, teaching them in specialised ways and providing educational materials at the appropriate level.
Parents normally apply when students are in Year 4. Students who are placed then attend the the class full time in Years 5 and 6 at a school that offers an Opportunity Class (which is often not their current school). There are two parts to the test each comprising 35 multiple-choice questions in (TEST I, TEST II):
The test designed test 1 for 30min and test 2 for another 30min
